Jan Mitchell Larsen majored in Sculpture & Design at the Philadelphia College of Art. Samples of her work can be seen in the Permanent Collection of the Smithsonian, the Thompson Museum in Kentucky, the National Guard Armory on St. Croix, and the Roosevelt Park on St. Thomas.
For the past thirteen years she has designed and crafted ornaments for the National Christmas Tree of Peace, exhibited in the International Art Glass Invitational in St. Louis, and had a VICA National Endowment to the Arts grant. |

| In 2007, Jan was inducted into the Virgin Islands Hall of Fame. On St. Croix, her Lady of Justice, a life size bronze, marks the entrance to the United States Court House, a Federal Art-in-Architecture installation. And, on that same island, she and her husband have set up a sophisticated workshop featuring water jet cutting equipment, and together they have developed several new techniques in the art of fusing glass. Each piece is individually designed, and they are all lead free and dishwasher safe.
